Evaluators also consider their support system, boundaries, past experiences, attachment and separation abilities, as well as postpartum support readiness.
The evaluation aims to ensure the gestational carrier's mental well-being and suitability for the role, promoting a positive and harmonious experience for all involved parties, including the gestational carrier, intended parents, and potential child. By addressing potential psychological concerns, the evaluation helps mitigate risks and supports the gestational carrier's overall emotional health throughout the surrogacy journey.
