Owner & Licensed Psychologist
Jennifer Collins, PsyD, MSCP
Dr. Collins is a licensed clinical psychologist and the Owner/Founder of Ebb & Flow Counseling + Coaching. She is a graduate of Hershey High School, Penn State University (BS, MA), Philadelphia College of Medicine (MS, PsyD), and Fairleigh Dickinson University (MSCP).
She became interested in psychology in middle school and never looked back, aligning all of her educational pursuits with her goal of understudying human behavior and helping people change for the better. She has been licensed at the doctoral level for 12 years and worked as a clinical psychologist within a health system for 13 years.
In an effort to achieve optimal work-life balance, Dr. Collins transitioned into private practice and Ebb & Flow Counseling + Coaching was born in January 2023. She has PSYPACT authority to provide tele psychology services to clients across 39 U.S. states.
Dr. Collins specializes in infertility, helping intended parents navigate the process of fertility treatments including the use of donor gametes. She also performs psychological evaluations of women interested in becoming a surrogate.
Dr. Collins was the Chief Well-Being Officer for her prior health system for 3 years, assessing clinician burnout within the medical staff and designing interventions to support their well-being. In private practice, she works 1:1 with physicians and medical professionals throughout the country on their desire for improved work/life balance.

Clients of Dr. Collins say she is warm and compassionate, challenges them towards change when needed, and uses timely therapeutic humor to put them at ease.
Fun facts: mother of boy/girl twins, class clown in high school, lived in 3 states before the age of 8 but has never lived outside of PA since.
Licensed Psychologist
Rachel Brookland, PsyD
Dr. Brookland is a licensed clinical psychologist with PSYPACT credentials, working full-time for Ebb & Flow Counseling + Coaching. Dr. Brookland graduate from Council Rock High School, Muhlenberg College (BS), and The Philadlephia College of Osetopathic Medicine (MS, Psy.D.).
Dr. Brookland has a broad range of experience, consisting of working in settings including, hospitals, family medicine/ obstetrics and gynecology practice, community mental health, and graduate school counseling centers. Her specific interests are in women’s emotional wellness, infertility, interpersonal challenges, couples counseling, weight management, and anxiety/adjustment disorders.
As a practitioner, Dr. Brookland believes in the mind-body connection and cognitive-behavioral approaches to help her patients understand and cope with their emotional problems. She focuses on changing her patients' attitudes and behaviors to help them achieve their goals. Dr. Brookland approaches the therapeutic relationship with genuine compassion, empathy, and curiosity to understand your unique experiences. She is dedicated to working with her clients to feel empowered to face challenges and improve their quality of life.
Dr. Brookland was raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and enjoys spending time with her dog, being outdoors, and OrangeTheory Fitness.
Executive Coach
Dörte Heimbeck, PhD
Dörte Heimbeck, PhD, brings 25 years of experience as an internal, consulting psychologist. From her experience primarily in healthcare, she has developed a deep, practical understanding of human behavior and organizational dynamics in large and complex organizations.
She is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) certified professional coach (PCC) and fellow at the at the Institute of Coaching at McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and provides wellness and leadership coaching to physicians, advanced practice professionals, leaders and beyond. In helping her clients overcome burnout, reconnect to the meaning and purpose of their profession, thrive in their professional and personal lifes, Dr. Heimbeck has found her professional calling.
Most recently (until her move to Boston, MA in the Fall of 2023) she served as the as the Associate Chief Wellness Officer for Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa Florida. Dr. Heimbeck co-leads organizational efforts to improve professional wellbeing through an operational emphasis on meaningful, essential work, a culture that promotes wellbeing and through tailored resiliency support programs.
Dr. Heimbeck was trained in Germany (MS in Psychology with a minor in Medicine from the University of Giessen) and The Netherlands ( PhD in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from the University of Amsterdam).
Master's Level Pre-Licensed Clinician
Farren Schmidt, MA
Farren Schmidt is a Master’s level pre licensed therapist. Her Master’s degree in Counseling is from George Washington University. She is also a National Certified Counselor. Her Bachelors Degree is in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies from James Madison University. She has recently taken Post-Masters credits in Resiliency at EMU. She has been in the counseling field, working in a school-based setting, for over 15 years. In this capacity, she has gained valuable experience working with hundreds of adolescents to help them resolve a wide variety of issues and needs, including depression, anxiety, stress, and relationship problems. She has also worked closely with parents and is interested in continuing to expand upon her experience in the adult population.
Farren is a Client-Centered therapist, which means she considers you to be the expert in your own life and values your perspective. She will listen to your story, support you in a way that feels good to you, give you the space you need to process your feelings, and guide you towards a resolution. She utilizes different counseling approaches to help you reach your goals, but she finds a strengths-based approach to be particularly helpful in discovering your strengths, developing your skills, and empowering you to make the changes you seek. Farren knows everyone has their own needs and she will make sure to be at your level to best support you.
Farren has lived in Hershey throughout her life (minus her education experiences). She has identical twin boys who keep her very busy. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, watching shows with her husband, and spending time in Avalon, NJ.
Master's Student, Pre Licensed Clinician
Gabriela Bevacqua-Collins, BA
Gabriela Bevacqua-Collins is a master’s student in the Penn State Applied Clinical Psychology program. She received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University (Bloomington, Indiana) where she studied Psychology and Art History.
Gabriela has previously worked in a research lab investigating child development and has used art therapy to work with adult populations. She believes that mental health care that is informed by research creates the most effective therapeutic environment for her clients. Gabriela is committed to helping individuals generate tools to deal with the complexities of life, relieve distressing symptoms, and build positive self- regard.
She is particularity passionate about helping both individual patients and communities cope with negative life events and the resulting anxiety-based responses. Gabriela believes that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy provides a tangible, structured approach to alleviate negative thoughts, build self-confidence, and improve quality of life.
Gabriela was born in South Bend, Indiana and is an avid runner. She loves to travel, visit art museums, and read as much as life allows.
