Sydney Cohen is a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology (PsyD) program at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). She earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from West Chester University and her Master of Science (MS) in Mental Health Counseling from PCOM.
Sydney’s passion lies in integrated healthcare, where her interests in psychology and medicine align. Her diverse experience includes hospitals, family medicine practices, community mental health centers, and graduate school counseling programs. She is particularly interested in women’s emotional wellness, infertility, weight management, and health-related stress. Sydney's clinical training emphasizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), which she has utilized in various medical and psychiatric settings.
Sydney has designed and facilitated postpartum workshops and has experience supporting perinatal and postpartum women. Currently, her research focuses on the psychological effects of stress and social relationships on hospitalized pregnant women facing medical complications.
Originally from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Sydney enjoys spending her free time with friends
and family.
